Coach Paul from Oak Hill, speaks to JMS students about living with a disability.

A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,

I hope that you all had a wonderful week.

As you may have seen in the newspaper last weekend, JMS recently hosted a powerful three-school gathering based on the theme of "Everyone Belongs". With the generous support of our PTO, we were able to bring in representatives from Oak Hill Fitness to work with students and staff on developing understanding and empathy for those of us with disabilities or other challenges. We hope that this experience prompted sharing and discussion at home, and we look forward to expanding upon this theme this year and beyond.

Additionally, thanks to generous donations by our RSD6 families, our students raised almost $160 and collected food items, gently-used children's clothes, a toys for those in need within our Morris community. Fifth graders Annika and Oliver will be working with Mrs. Orzell from the Morris Friends and Neighbors to see that these donations are distributed effectively.
