Dear Parents/Guardians,

As circumstances necessitate a closure of the school, we are working to provide our students with access to materials and resources to support their continued academic growth and learning.

Region 6 staff have worked diligently to develop learning activities which can be used for academic enrichment during this time.  Please click here to access the document which organizes these enrichment activities by subject.  We have included a variety of engaging activities that are accessible to all students which we believe will be beneficial. Many of these resources are computer adaptable to provide practice at their level to meet their individual learning needs. This document can also be found on the district website at this direct link, Remote Learning Plans.  These activities are not designed to replace instruction, but rather to allow students to continue to grow academically during this prolonged closure.

If you do not have access to a computer and/or the internet and would like hard copies of any of the resources in the document, please contact the principal. Principals are also available to assist families with student logins and passwords to the online programs.

For those students who have Special Education or 504 meetings scheduled during the closure, these meetings will be rescheduled once we return to school. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s plan or ability to access the online materials, please contact Deb Foley at dfoley@rsd6.org or (860)567-6642.

We wish you all health during this closure and look forward to seeing your child back in school soon.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tracy Keilty, GCS Principal   tkeilty@rsd6.org

Dr. Angela Rossbach, WS Principal   arossbach@rsd6.org

Mr. KC Chapman, JMS Principal   kchapman@rsd6.org
